Modern Slavery Statement
Introduction
Amaizonia does not tolerate slavery or human trafficking in our organization or our supply chain. This statement sets out the steps that we have taken to eliminate, as far as possible, the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
Our Business
Amaizonia is a technology company that provides business-to-business and customer services across multiple sectors. Our food technology division helps customers and business partners grow, and enhance their food processing projects, food/drinks community engagement, and food safety monitoring solutions.
Our Supply Chain
Our supply chain includes suppliers of staff, food and drinks, IT and other equipment, professional services from our tech organization for the internship, lawyers, accountants and other advisors and service providers.
Our Policies on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
Our opposition to modern slavery and human trafficking is confirmed in our Code of Ethical Business Conduct. This reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity, in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.
Amaizonia Processes for Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
As part of our efforts to identify and mitigate the risk of human slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains, we have sought all necessary assurance of compliance with the United Kingdom Modern Slavery Act 2015 from our suppliers.
Supplier Adherence to Our Values and Ethics
We do not tolerate slavery and human trafficking. We have in place a supplier process which prohibits all suppliers from, directly or indirectly using, supporting, or engaging forced or compulsory labour. We expect all those in our supply chain and contractors to comply with our values.
Training in Modern Slavery
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and in our supply chain, we will be asking our business partners as a duty of care, to provide training to their staff and suppliers and providers.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54 (1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Amaizonia's modern slavery and human trafficking statement.
